If you haven’t tried truLOCAL yet, you need to. We received our first box this week and the salmon inspired us to make this Honey Garlic Salmon recipe.
TruLOCAL connects consumers to high-end, locally-sourced meat products – delivered right to your doorstep across Alberta, BC, Ontario, and the Midwest US.
Their salmon made the perfect centerpiece for this Honey Garlic Salmon recipe. Nothing beats local seafood with local honey!
We paired the salmon with our favourite Honey Balsamic Brussels Sprouts, you can check out that recipe here.

Ingredients
2 truLOCAL salmon filets
1/3 cup Peace River Honey
3 garlic cloves
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tsp red pepper chili flakes
2 tbsp lemon juice
3 tbsp olive oil
salt
pepper
Directions
In a medium bowl, whisk together Peace River Honey, soy sauce, lemon juice and red pepper flakes.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil. When oil is hot but not smoking, add salmon and season with salt and pepper. Cook salmon until deeply golden, about 6 minutes. Flip salmon and add remaining tablespoon of olive oil.
Add garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant, 1 minute. Add the honey mixture and cook until sauce is reduced about 1/3. Baste salmon with the sauce.
Garnish with sliced lemon and enjoy!
