Are you team drums or team wings? Either way, these Honey Hot Wings are the perfect addition to your Wing Wednesday line up! A nice balance of sweet and heat.
20 chicken wings
2 tbsp olive oil
1 cup Peace River Honey
1/2 cup sriracha
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp corn starch
2 tbsp water
Preheat air fryer at 395 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 minutes. Pat chicken wings dry and toss with olive oil in a large bowl to coat. Carefully place wings in air fryer basket. Cook in air fryer until crispy, approximately 30 minutes. You can also use an oven if you don’t have an air fryer. Approximately 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes.
While the chicken cooks, heat Peace River Honey in a medium saucepan on the stove on medium high heat. Once warmed, approximately one minute, add butter and sriracha to saucepan. While that simmers, mix corn starch and water in a separate dish to make a slurry. Add slurry to honey mixture and cook for approximately one minute.
Remove chicken from air fryer and place into a bowl with a lid. Add sauce to bowl, place the lid, and shake to coat evenly. Be very carefully at this step because the heat will create pressure once the lid is on!
Once coated, place wings on a serving tray and enjoy.
